Visiting Performances

When choosing visiting artists, the school considers those most appropriate in assisting the children in their appreciation, understanding & gaining of knowledge in both social & academic areas.

These performances are professional shows at a very reasonable cost & held in the school hall. They reinforce the work teachers do in the classroom in the areas of the performing arts.

Assemblies

B.H.P.S. conducts a whole-school assembly every Thursday in the hall. This assembly is a child-centred assembly where children are given an opportunity to speak in front of an audience & classes in turn are responsible for a short assembly presentation. The assembly allows time to recognise all the positive aspects of school life that have occurred during the previous week, & certificates for a variety of academic, social & sporting activities are presented to deserving children.

Parents are welcome to the assembly especially when their child's class is responsible for the class presentation & performance section of the assembly.
