Dear Parents,

Welcome back for Term 2.

Stewart House Thank you to children and parents who supported our " Hair Raising Day" at the end of last term. We raised $ 267 to forward on to this worthwhile cause. Please note that no more bags of used clothing after this Friday as the truck will collect all items early Monday morning well before school begins.

Lost Clothing There are still many items left from last term in the library foyer. Children and parents should check for missing belongings before the end of next week, as all remaining items will be disposed of after that date.

Student Welfare

Pokemon cards are banned as of the beginning of this term due to disruptions to learning programs in classrooms.

Children are discouraged from bringing electronic games, expensive toys, etc to school unless requested by their class teachers e.g. for news, as damage to these items can cause upset and the loss of valuable time in dealing with the problem.

For safety reasons, children are not to wear ear rings, necklaces and other jewellery to school. In the case of pierced ears, a simple stud is safer.

Children arriving late to school should go directly to the office before proceeding to class. Parents collecting children before 3p.m. need an office note to hand to the classroom teacher. These procedures assist with attendance data and ensure children's safety.

School Uniform Thank you parents for your support in maintaining an extremely high level throughout Term 1. It is hoped that we can maintain this throughout the year as our uniform helps develop pride in our school and a sense of belonging. Parents experiencing difficulty in providing uniforms can contact the school for assistance.

A Prem Lal Mufti Day will be held next Friday, 10th May. Children may come out of school uniform and are asked to donate a gold coin as part of our ongoing support of a child in Nepal through Plan International.

District Cross Country Best wishes to our school team who will compete next Tuesday. The large group will be supervised by Mr Evans, Mr Richardson and Mrs Fischer.

Donations of Knitting Wool would be appreciated by Mrs Pickard and Mrs Maranesi for their current craft project.

Road Safety Please find accompanying this bulletin a pamphlet, which focuses on school zones, parking issues and use of crossings.
